Fairport Public Library and SCORE to Host Small Business Workshops Series

ROCHESTER, N.Y., December 20, 2005 – SCORE and the Fairport Public Library announced today a Small Business Workshop Series designed for existing and new business owners based in the local area.  Sessions will be held Thursdays, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. March 9^th through 30^th 2006 at the Fairport Public Library.

“This workshop series will be an intensive, practical, hands-on business course designed to provide entrepreneurs with the skills they need to successfully manage and grow a business,” said Bill Brennan, SCORE keynote speaker and well-known business owner.

Four (4) two-hour workshops will be offered to participants, covering a variety of topics critical to small business startup and survival:

• How to create a Business Plan for Startups and New Firms (March 9, 2005)

• What’s the right legal structure for your business (March 16, 2005)

• Prioritizing the Key Financial Considerations (March 16, 2005)

• Success through Marketing (March 23, 2005)

• How do I get a Business Loan (March 30, 2005)

• What type of business insurance do I need (March 30, 2005)
